Alumnae Support
Becoming a part of Sigma Delta Tau at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has introduced me to a forever family. I have been welcomed in the loving arms of all of the sisters who all represent the compassion, determination, and kindness that is engraved in Sigma Delta Tau. While our chapter represents a small portion of the undergraduate population, our reach is anything but small. With more than 40,000 alumni worldwide, SDT is a community that goes beyond geography, time, and stage of life.
As Alumnae Chair, and as someone who grew up seeing Sigma Delta Tau through the eyes of an alumna, I have witnessed how deeply this sisterhood lasts. What begins as a friendship in college often becomes mentorship, professional support, and meaningful connection years later, sometimes in the most unexpected places. Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, your place within SDT does not fade with time.
Our chapter today is built on the foundation you created, and we are incredibly grateful for the alumni who continue to support, uplift, and inspire us. Your experiences, accomplishments, and continued engagement shape the culture of SDT just as much as any tradition on campus.
We hope you’ll stay connected with Alpha Nu as we move forward. Through newsletters, our Alumnae Facebook group, and visits back to Madison, there are many ways to remain part of our chapter’s story. Our doors and our sisterhood are always open. We would love to welcome you back, share what’s new, and celebrate the legacy we are all part of.
Love n' Sig,
Sam Wachtel
