Our Philanthropy
Sigma Delta Tau prides itself in philanthropy and community service. Every year, our chapter hosts multiple events to support our national and local philanthropy organizations. Philanthropy is a core part of every SDT chapter, and Alpha Nu is certainly no exception. Explore our philanthropy page to learn more about how SDT supports our national and local organizations.

Jewish Women International (JWI)
JWI empowers women and girls of all backgrounds and works to ensure that all girls and women have the fundamental right to live in a safe home, thrive in healthy relationships and realize the full potential of their personal strength. We dedicate the fall semester each year to fundraising for JWI, and put on events such as raffles, trunk shows, a bake off, and more.

Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA)
To help raise funds for PCAA, our chapter hosts one of our biggest events, ΣΔΤ Late, where our sisters sell waffles late-night on State Street to raise money for the organization. Leading up to EAT Late is our"All You Can ΣΔΤ" week, where we host fundraisers at local eateries in Madison. During Pinwheels for Prevention, we decorate Bascom Hill with pinwheels to spread awareness.

Humorology
Each year, Sigma Delta Tau proudly participates in Humorology, the largest student-run organization at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the biggest collegiate philanthropic event in the state. This renowned variety show competition unites Greek organizations as they collaborate to create original musical-comedy productions, showcasing talent in singing, dancing, and acting. Beyond the stage, Humorology fosters a profound sense of community and connection, bringing together students from different chapters and backgrounds. It serves as an incredible platform for philanthropy, raising significant funds for chosen local charities while empowering students to give back creatively and meaningfully. This year, we are proud to support Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, which reduces trauma and promotes healing for children and adults with intellectual disabilities who are victims or witnesses of crime. Safe Harbor provides a trauma-informed, child-friendly environment for forensic interviews, advocacy, and coordinated responses. Participating in Humo allows our members to express themselves artistically, strengthen bonds within the Greek community, and contribute to impactful causes that make a tangible difference.
